On June 23, 2016 the UK surprisingly voted for leaving the European Union in the Brexit referendum. The interlacing between the UK and the other members of the EU indicates how problematic the withdrawal and its consequences will be.

  • 900,000 out of almost 3.2 million EU inhabitans in Great Britain are from Poland
  • Most of the emigrated British are living in Spain – more than 300,000
  • Germany is the most substantial trade partner of the UK
  • Most direct investments in Great Britain are undertaken by the Netherlands, who at the same time strongly profits of British investments
