German government seriously considering free public transport idea

Facing EU penalties over poor air quality, Germany has said it wants to test free public transport in five cities. Bonn and Essen are among the cities to serve as testing grounds for the idea.

Iraq condemns German woman to death for belonging to IS group

An Iraqi court says it has condemned to death by hanging a German woman of Moroccan origin after finding her guilty of belonging to the Islamic State jihadist group.
