Air pollution main environmental health hazard in Europe

Around 422,000 premature deaths in 41 European countries were linked to air pollution in 2015.
The Co2 treatment plant of the Vattenfall power plant with Co2 separation in Schwarze Pumpe (Brandenburg), taken on 05.09.2013. Since 2008, experts in the pilot plant have been working on the separation of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide from flue gas. As a result, the climate killer can be stored underground (Carbon Capture and Storage - CCS technology) or otherwise used. EU auditors: Efforts lagging in carbon capture, renewables

EU action to support carbon capture and storage and innovative renewables has not succeeded, according to a new report from the European Court of Auditors.

EU gives 1.5 million euros in aid for Kenya relief after dam burst
