EU doubles Sahel force funding but African leaders issue warning

European leaders have doubled their funding for a force tackling jihadists in the Sahel, but African leaders warn the money must come quickly if it is to be effective.

The Council has added 3 persons involved in serious human rights violations to the list of those submitted to a travel ban and an asset freeze in view of the situation in South Sudan.

Macron calls for ‘massive’ support to rescue migrants from Libya
